SUPPRESSADV

The SUPPRESSADV option determines whether to ignore the ADVANCING phrase of the WRITE statement for record sequential files.

Syntax:
SUPPRESSADV={ON|OFF}
Parameters:
ON Ignore the ADVANCING phrase of the WRITE statement for record sequential files.
OFF Do not ignore the ADVANCING phrase of the WRITE statement for record sequential files.
Properties:
Default: OFF
